The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.
SASSA will be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed concerning the significant number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office dedicated to service the area on SRD a daily basis. The status sassa service issue made for intervention activities a substantial influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to help the servicing of all clients and increase usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
